Frequently Asked Questions
-
No experience is required. Our classes are suitable for beginners, and our instructors will offer options and guidance throughout the session. We offer an Introduction to Reformer class if you have no prior experience of the reformer, so you can try it in a slower-paced environment.
-
We recommend wearing comfortable, tighter fitting clothing that allows you to both move freely and for your instructor to see your form and aid adjustments.
Grip socks are a requirement for hygiene and safety. We offer some beautiful ones for purchase in the studio!
-
For optimal results, we recommend 2–3 sessions per week, though even one session a week can be beneficial.
-
Pilates builds strength, improves flexibility and posture, and supports better movement and balance for everyday life. It is widely recognised for reducing injury-risk and improving back pain.
-
Mat Pilates focuses on body-weight based exercises performed on a mat, (which in our studio is practiced using a mat converter on the Reformer), whilst Reformer Pilates uses spring-based resistance on the Reformer to support and further challenge your movement.
-
Most of our classes are 50 minutes unless otherwise stated.
-
We have free parking available at the studio, either in the Reformat marked spaces in the car park, or along the road just outside the car park.
-
Our studio is located on the first floor, with internal stairs. Unfortunately we do not have a lift, so clients are advised they need to be able to walk up stairs to attend our classes.
